Total imports hit 0.12 million tons in Jan-July 2023. Algeria was purchasing large volumes of VegOil from Russia, such as 27,000 tons and 19,000 tons. Average shipment volume was 6,975 tons.
In terms of VegOil types, Soybean Oil led others with 74,513 tons, followed by Palm Olein (28,815 tons) and Palm Stearin (16,750 tons). May shipments were the largest in Jan – July of 2023, with 50,813 tons. The following month was June (34,490 tons).
