Business Development Director (m/w)
  • The BDD main objectives will be to raise awareness and extend the sales channels for existing services and new product developments. She/He will play a liaison between the operational and development teams and prospects. The key would be to ensure customers satisfaction through a good combination between customized and tailor-made services.
  • Together with the Board and its external advisors, She/He would be responsible for the strategic orientation as well as the successful pricing implementation.

Your Role:
  • Being responsible for the daily management of the company reporting directly to the board
  • Preparing and overseeing the forward strategy with the support of Strategic Advisors, all senior representatives of the industry
  • Managing heads of functions: IT, Data processing and Finance
  • Acting as Head of Sales, managing directly the sales and marketing division at a local and international level
  • Other assignments will include: (re-)engineering of existing and new services, providing clients’ feedback to the other Team Heads, helping to implement new revenue channels
  • Last but not least, the successful candidate will be the main ambassador to represent the company at professional events and exhibitions.
Extra Responsibilities:
    Your Profile:
    • 5/8 years of experience within the commodity industry & related eco-systems, ideally coming from soft-commodities (grains, oilseeds, vegoils, soybean, …)
    • Sound understanding of the technology perspectives within a start-up environment, to contribute to an efficient product development strategy
    • Ability and will to work with little supervision and guidance in an ever-changing and fast-moving environment
    • Proven track record in product marketing and sales with strong leadership & superising
    • Achiever, problem solver, strong work-ethic and ability to motivate others
    • Language skills: English a must, French an asset, any other language considered a plus.
    Regional Business Development Executive (Middle East, Europe, South America, Asia)

      Your Role:
      • Pro-active sales to new and existing AgFlow accounts
      • Build and manage the sales pipeline for from lead generation to closure
      • Lead business development activities, research companies, identify key players, generate interest, and develop relationships with important stakeholders through multiple channels (cold calling, email marketing, events)
      • Assist in customer success program with focus on current AgFlow clients (support, upsell and renewals)
      • Develop necessary partnerships with brokers active in the grains, oilseed and vegoil markets
      Extra Responsibilities:
      • Assist marketing team with content marketing strategy
      • Sharing industry insights and news on AgFlow social media accounts
      • Generate content from AgFlow analytics to target new leads
      • Participate in AgFlow webinars to generate new leads
      • Exhibit and promote AgFlow at key events throughout the year
      Your Profile:
      • Industry knowledge about agricultural commodity trading mainly across grains, oilseeds and vegoils markets (one of the commodity groups is sufficient)
      • Passionate about innovation and technology
      • Excellent English speaking and writing, additional languages such as Russian, Arabic, French and Spanish is a plus.
      • Entrepreneurial mindset and proactive attitude who knows how to work independently
